KUALA LUMPUR: The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023 Science practical tests for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Additional Science subjects will be held from Dec 5 to 7.

The Education Ministry (MOE), in a statement today, said a total of 91,908 candidates have registered for the Physics subject, Chemistry (93,135 candidates), Biology (72,841 candidates) and Additional Science (1,784 candidates).

"The ministry would like to remind all candidates to refer to the SPM 2023 examination timetable for information on the date, time, code and examination paper, as well as the instructions to be followed throughout the examination," it said, adding that the examination timetable can be downloaded from the Examination Board (LP) website at lp.moe.gov.my.

"Candidates are reminded to bring along their identity card and examination slip.

"Candidates must also comply with the standard operating procedures and regulations set to ensure the smooth management of the SPM 2023 examination," the statement read.

Meanwhile, MOE said it is concerned with the safety and welfare of candidates and examination staff in facing any potential disasters, including the flood season during this year's SPM examination.

"The MOE is always ready with proper mechanisms and preparedness measures, including working with relevant government agencies," it said.

All SPM 2023 candidates are also advised to immediately inform their school or the State Education Department (JPN) if they are unable to come to the designated examination centre or any nearby examination centre due to a disaster.

In addition, candidates can contact the operations room hotline provided at the LP headquarters and JPN offices nationwide.

"The ministry is committed to doing its best to ensure that the SPM 2023 examination can be conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner," it added.
